•Heading the ICT & PR Division of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies
•To oversee the application of ICT and Information Systems at the BCIS
•To develop and review plans, schemes of work, marketing policies and assess implementing strategies of the Division
•To liaise with Director and other Divisions to ensure the delivery of an appropriate, comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective information solutions which complements the programmes and activities of the Centre
•To implement policies and procedures in consultation with the Director/BCIS
•To ensure effective communication/flow of information
•To develop/establish links with partner organizations, electronic/print media and the General Public and to take measures to promote and disseminate information as appropriate
•To organize Workshops/training sessions for the staff of the BCIS on computer applications
•Co-Editor of the BCIS Newsletter
•To manage the available software/hardware resources and provide guidelines to the Centre in procuring the necessary software packages and peripherals
•To organize Press Conferences, Public Relations functions, open-days to promote the image, academic programmes and activities of the Centre
•Maintain, Manage and Administer the BCIS Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Network, System Servers, Network Switches and the BCIS Website
•Update the BCIS Website – www.bcis.edu.lk
•Monitor and maintain the BCIS e-mail system, electronic workspace and electronic calendar
•Monitor the internet and network bandwidth in order to provide uninterrupted internet service
•Oversee the security of the BCIS Network, System, Servers, Website, Computers, Equipments, domain and its users
•Oversee the Front Desk, Information Desks at the BCIS
•Oversee the operations of the Digital Resource Centre
